Due to the hectic efforts of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, doors of job opportunities in Europe and Italy are now open for Pakistanis, it was reported on Saturday.
A spokesman of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis said that Italy allocated a quota of 10,500 jobs for Pakistanis.
He said that Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhary Salik Hussain appealed to the Italian government to allot a job quota for Pakistanis.
As many as 3,500 Pakistanis will travel to Italy on an employment visa while 1,500 Pakistanis will go to Italy on the Pakistani seasonal quota, and 2,000 will go on the non-seasonal quota.
The spokesman said that Italy allotted an employment quota to Pakistanis in the ship breaking, hospitality, healthcare, and agriculture sectors.
The spokesman further said that employment opportunities as welders, technicians, chefs, waiters, housekeepers, nurses, medical technicians, and farmers are also available.
Federal Minister for Chaudhary Salik Hussain congratulated the Pakistani nation on the allotment of the job quota by Itay. He said that a meeting of the joint working group will be held in Islamabad in February 2026.
The Federal Minister said that providing job opportunities to Pakistanis in the European market is a milestone.
Chaudhary Salik Hussain said that the Government of Pakistan is taking all measures to provide the best job opportunities to the Pakistani workforce.
He further said that overseas Pakistanis play a vital role in strengthening the national economy, and they are envoys of Pakistan.
He hoped that other European countries would also announce a job quota for Pakistanis soon.
