The preparations for general elections in Azad Kashmir have reached a peak as AJK Election Commission has revised the schedule of electoral lists. The process of revising the electoral lists continued from March 24 to April 13.
AJK Election Commission said that the preparation of the initial electoral lists was completed with the cooperation of NADRA. The initial lists will be published on April 28. In this regard, applications for voters registration and their objections have been invited from the public.
The Election Commission sets May 4 as last date for submission of objections. The revising authority will hear the applications from May 5 to 7.
The Election Commission said the decisions will be entered in the electoral lists on May 8. The final electoral lists to be released between May 9 and 11 while final lists are expected to be completed by May 16.

Chief Election Commissioner Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice (Retd) Abdul Rashid Sulehria has assured that Election Commission has finalized all special arrangements to ensure fair, peaceful and transparent elections.
He expressed his satisfaction over the election arrangements, process and security related matters.
He urged voters to bring their national identity cards and bound to wear face masks and notices are issued to different candidates over violating election code of conduct.
