Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Headquarters and reviewed the progress of the FIA Academy upgradation project, it was reported on Friday.
During his visit, Mohsin Naqvi directed to complete the ongoing construction activities as per high standards as soon as possible.
FIA Director General Dr Usman Anwar briefed the Interior Minister on the upgradation project in a meeting chaired by Mohsin Naqvi at the FIA Headquarters in Islamabad.
The meeting reviewed the progress on reforms to make FIA a more effective, active and people-friendly institution.
Addressing the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi said their goal is to develop FIA on modern lines by the end of the year.
He said infrastructure, technology and manpower are being improved to increase the efficiency of the institution.
Merit and transparency should be ensured in the new recruitment process at all costs, Mohsin Naqvi instructed.
Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad Police and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
