The release schedule of big upcoming films has once again shifted in Bollywood and South Indian cinema, as Toxic faces another postponement, triggering changes in the release date of another major film featuring Varun Dhawan.
Industry sources say Toxic, starring Yash, has been delayed again after earlier planned release dates were already revised multiple times. The film was initially expected to release on March 19, but its schedule was later pushed to June 4 and then further uncertainty surrounded its release window.
The repeated delays of Toxic have directly impacted the release strategy of the film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, a multi-starrer comedy-drama directed by David Dhawan. The film was earlier scheduled for June 5 but had been shifted to June 12 due to a clash with Toxic’s revised timing.
However, after the latest update on Toxic, the makers of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai have now reverted to their original release date of June 5. Producer Ramesh Taurani explained that the decision was taken after mutual understanding between the teams involved.
He said that both Yash and Varun Dhawan share a friendly relationship and maintained communication regarding the release changes. According to him, once it became clear that Toxic would not release as previously scheduled, the team decided to restore their original date.
The film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai features a large ensemble cast including Mrunal Thakur, Maniesh Paul, Chunky Pandey, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, and Rakesh Bedi.
Industry observers say the shifting release calendar reflects growing uncertainty in theatrical planning, where major films are increasingly adjusting dates to avoid box office clashes and maximize commercial performance.
