Ishaq Dar reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to peace, unity at Ulema Council Conference

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability while addressing the second session of the Ulema Council Conference in Islamabad.

Welcoming the participation of prominent national and international religious scholars, the deputy prime minister described the conference as both timely and significant. He emphasized that such forums play a vital role in promoting dialogue and unity within the Muslim world.

Dar highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic engagements aimed at reducing tensions and fostering constructive dialogue at regional and global levels. He reaffirmed the country’s principled stance on the issues of Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.

Underscoring the need for unity among Muslim nations, he stressed the central role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in addressing shared challenges and advancing collective interests.

The deputy prime minister also pointed to Pakistan’s efforts in combating Islamophobia internationally and promoting interfaith harmony. He paid tribute to the country’s resilience and national resolve on the anniversary of the “Fight for Truth.”

Dar further stated that peace, development, and prosperity remain central to Pakistan’s national vision under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
