Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that ensuring a safe environment for women is her top priority.
Addressing the Lahore College for Women University Convocation on Tuesday, the Punjab Chief Minister said pink buttons have been installed at many places in Punjab for the protection of women.
“I am proud to be a graduate of Lahore College for Women,” Maryam Nawaz said.
She said if anyone says that women cannot do such and such work, it is a complete lie.
Maryam Nawaz said many women are included in the current cabinet of Punjab.
“I have full faith in the daughters of the nation,” Maryam Nawaz said.
Maryam Nawaz said no society can develop without women. Many women have been appointed as commissioners and deputy commissioners in Punjab, Maryam Nawaz said.
She said our women are not behind men in any field.
Maryam Nawaz said 100,000 houses have been constructed under the Apna Ghar, Apni Chhat programme.
