Defence Minister Khawaja Asif warns Afghanistan that if terrorism is not stopped, they will do the same to Kabul as they did to India, it was reported on Wednesday.
Addressing the National Assembly session, Khawaja Asif has warned Afghanistan that Islamabad could take strong action if militant activities originating from Afghan territory continue against Pakistan
Khawaja Asif said that a war was being waged against Pakistan from Afghan soil and accused the Afghan Taliban administration of acting as a proxy for India.
According to the channel report, the defence minister said Pakistan had repeatedly engaged in dialogue with Afghan authorities in an effort to address security concerns and cross-border militancy.
The defence minister further disclosed that Islamabad had also used diplomatic channels through Qatar, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia to communicate with the Taliban administration.
Khawaja Asif stated that despite these efforts, the Afghan Taliban authorities were not prepared to provide written assurances that Afghan territory would not be used for activities against Pakistan.
The remarks come amid growing tensions between Islamabad and Kabul over border security, militant violence and regional stability.
