Pakistan exported goods worth Rs7,081,406 million during the first 10 months (July–April) of the current fiscal year (2025–26), Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported.
The exports in rupee term witnessed declined by 5.51 percent compared to the same period of last year, when they stood at Rs7,494,398 million, according to provisional figures released by the bureau.
Meanwhile, on year-on-year basis, the exports from Pakistan increased 13.34 percent to Rs691,589 million in April 2026 when compared to exports of Rs610,190 million during April, 2025.
On month-on-month basis, the exports in April 2026 increased by 9.37 percent when compared to the exports of Rs632,318 million in March, 2026.
Main commodities of exports during April, 2026 were knitwear (Rs115,450 million), readymade garments (Rs97,854 million), bed wear (Rs66,197 million), cotton cloth (Rs40,686 million), rice others (Rs32,278 million), towels (Rs24,812 million), cotton yarn (Rs22,008), Basmati rice (Rs19,930 million), petroleum products, excluding top naptha (Rs19,372 million) and Madeup Articles, excluding Towels & Bedwears (Rs17,555 million).
On the other hand, the imports during July–April (2025 – 2026) totalled Rs16,141,381 million as against Rs14,912,109 million during the corresponding period of last year, showing an increase of 8.24%.
Likewise, imports into Pakistan during April 2026 amounted to Rs1,889,719 million as against Rs1,427,508 million in March, 2026 and Rs1,711,669 million during April 2025 showing an increase of 32.38% over March, 2026 and of 10.40% over April, 2025.
Main commodities of imports during April, 2026 were petroleum crude (Rs331,799 million), petroleum products (Rs272,943 million), electrical machinery & apparatus (Rs100,244 million), palm oil (Rs81,176 million), motor cars (ckd/skd) (Rs61,658 million), iron & steel (Rs56,762 million), plastic materials (Rs51,826 million), mobile phones (Rs49,415 million), raw cotton (Rs35,475 million) and iron and steel scrap (Rs32,603 million).
