Saudi Arabia’s deposit of $3 billion and bond have led to an increase in foreign funding received by Pakistan, it was reported on Wednesday.
In a latest report released by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, a huge increase by 676 per cent was recorded in foreign funding in April 2026, which stood at $4.47 billion, while foreign funding went up by 82 per cent in the first 10 months of the ongoing financial year.
The report reads that the country received $11.7 billion between July 2025 and April 2026, while during the same period last year the amount received stood at $6.9 billion.
In April, 2025, Pakistan had received $576 million in foreign funding.
