Chairing a high-level meeting via video link, the chief minister issued detailed guidelines for Eid arrangements and assigned responsibilities to all deputy commissioners (DCs) and district police officers (DPOs).

“Leave the office and come to the field,” Maryam Nawaz told officials, stressing that negligence would not be tolerated during the Eid holidays.

The chief minister directed all DCs and DPOs to ensure unparalleled arrangements across the province and ordered strict monitoring of implementation measures.

During the meeting, authorities were instructed to impose a fine of Rs50,000 on individuals found throwing animal remains and waste in streets, neighborhoods, drains and canals.

She further ordered digital monitoring and vigilance operations at cattle markets and directed officials to ensure extraordinary security arrangements to prevent incidents of cattle theft and robbery.

The chief minister directed authorities to enforce a ban on hide collection by prohibited organizations and ordered that loudspeakers should not be used at hide collection camps.

Special instructions were also issued for enhanced security at sensitive locations, including continuous combing operations, a ban on aerial firing and display of weapons, and restrictions on the use of loudspeakers in mosques and public gatherings.

Maryam Nawaz directed authorities to sprinkle rose water at Eid prayer grounds and mosques and ordered uninterrupted water supply through WASAs during the holidays.

She also instructed officials to ensure cleanliness in railway colonies, cantonment areas and private housing societies and announced rewards for districts securing first positions in cleanliness campaigns.

The meeting was told to ensure display of fare receipts at bus stands and inside buses, while dumping sites near airports were ordered to be covered.

The chief minister also imposed a ban on temporary swings across the province and directed authorities to inspect safety and security measures for swings installed in parks.

She further ordered cyber patrolling to prevent hateful content on social media during the Eid holidays.

All DCs and DPOs participated in the video-link meeting and were directed to ensure strict implementation of the orders issued by the Punjab government.
