The Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) has issued a schedule of deadlines for the submission and processing of payment claims as the financial year 2025-26 draws to a close, directing all concerned departments to ensure timely compliance to avoid delays in payments and transactions, it was reported on Tuesday.
According to an official notification issued by AGPR Islamabad, all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) must submit claims related to purchases, services rendered, and other expenditures by June 12, 2026.
The notification also sets June 15, 2026, as the final date for resubmitting all unapproved claims and bills for which tokens have already been issued as of June 12. Officials have been instructed to ensure that incomplete or rejected claims are resubmitted within the stipulated timeframe.
AGPR further announced that the last date for submission of releases for assignment accounts managed by AGPR Islamabad and its sub-offices will be June 19, 2026.
In a significant directive, the department stated that no honoraria claims will be accepted after June 12, 2026. Similarly, computer-edited statements regarding off-cycle payments will be accepted only until June 11, while their processing is tentatively scheduled to continue until June 16.
The AGPR advised all DDOs and concerned offices to submit their cases well before the deadlines to facilitate smooth processing and prevent disruptions in financial transactions at the close of the fiscal year.
The notification also clarified that salary cheques issued during the current financial year will automatically expire at the end of the fiscal year. It warned that no replacement cheques for the financial year 2025-26 will be issued after June 30, 2026.
Stressing adherence to the schedule, AGPR directed all relevant departments and offices to strictly comply with the prescribed deadlines to ensure the timely settlement of claims and payments before the close of the financial year.
