Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Mohammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhary on Saturday said that a state-of-the-art Maritime Business District will be established at Karachi Port Trust’s 140 acres land in Karachi.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Karachi Port Trust officials and Saudi partners in this regard.
Mohammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhary expressed the hope that this project will generate investment and employment opportunities in Pakistan.
The Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs said that Pakistan will become a hub of regional sea trade and investment.
He said that the Maritime Business District will play a vital role in promoting the blue economy in Pakistan.
He said that all legal and administrative measures will be fulfilled before the launch of this project.
The visiting Saudi delegation showed keen interest in investing in Pakistan’s port infrastructure and logistics sectors.
