Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has emphasized the vital role of the business community in strengthening the national economy and generating employment, stating that the government is committed to creating a conducive environment for investment and economic growth.
Addressing an event organised by the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the chief guest in Peshawar, the governor praised the contribution of the business community, saying their services remain commendable despite challenging circumstances.
Kundi said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possesses immense economic potential owing to its natural resources, young workforce and strategic geographical importance. He stressed the need for effective utilisation of the province’s economic resources to accelerate development and prosperity.
The governor said providing a business-friendly environment is among the government’s key priorities and that creating facilities for the business community is an integral part of its vision. He added that bureaucratic hurdles would be reduced to make the investment process faster and more transparent.
Highlighting the importance of investor confidence, Kundi said restoring the trust of both local and foreign investors is the need of the hour. He noted that while the private sector serves as the engine of economic growth, the government’s role is to facilitate and support business activities.
He stated that developed economies progress through strong partnerships between governments and the private sector, adding that all possible measures would be taken to promote industries and improve commercial activities across the province.
The governor assured the business community that resolving their issues remains among the government’s top priorities. He also acknowledged the role of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the economic development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Concluding his address, Faisal Karim Kundi expressed confidence that through collective efforts, the province could lay the foundation for a prosperous, strong, and developed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
