Flour millers seek wheat import to curb shortage

Pakistan Flour Millers Association (PFMA) has said that Sindh province produced less wheat, and SUPARCO also expressed fear about less production, so the government should allow the import of wheat to curb the shortage in the country, it was reported on Saturday.

Pakistan Flour Mills Association Sindh Chairman Abdul Junaid Aziz said that SUPARCO submitted reviewed statistics about the production of wheat and also expressed fear for a 2 million tons of less production.

Abdul Majeed Aziz urged the government to review expenditure for the import of wheat, and after assessment, the government should allow the import of wheat.
