Delegation of Ulema calls on Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain

A delegation of ulema called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain at his residence in Lahore, it was reported on Tuesday.

Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, was also present in the meeting.

The delegation included Deputy Principal of Jamia Ashrafia Lahore Hafiz Asad Obaid, Nazim-e-Ala Maulana Awais Hassan, and Chairman Punjab Quran Board Hafiz Zubair Hassan.

During the meeting, discussions were held on establishing a peaceful society and on the situation of peace and security in the country.

Ulema said Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain is a thoughtful and tall political figure of the country.

They said former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has always pursued a policy of tolerance, nobility and public service.

Humanity and philanthropy are prominent aspects of his personality, and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has a long-standing relationship of respect, Hafiz Asad Obaid said.

On this occasion, special prayers were offered for the development, security, and prosperity of the country, and for the complete recovery of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

Talking on the occasion, Chaudhry Shujaat said the entire nation stands with its brave forces in the war against terrorism.

Every section of society has to play its role in establishing a peaceful society, Chaudhry Shujaat said.

Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Chaudhry Shafay Hussain informed about the elimination of corruption, digitisation, and reforms in the Auqaf Department.

The Muttehida Ulema Board, Quran Board and Ittehad-e-Muslimeen Committee are fully active, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said.

He said the Auqaf Department is being digitised to cleanse it of all kinds of corruption.
