K-Electric signed an agreement with Mashreq Bank after which the consumers who paid their bills through the Mashreq Bank app can obtain cashback from Rs500 to Rs10,000, it was reported on Saturday.
A spokesman of K-Electric said that 70 percent of bills being digitally paid. More than 2.7 million consumers are attached to K-Electric.
The partnership with Mashreq Bank will prove instrumental in promoting digital payments and financial inclusion.
