Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiar Saidov in London and discussed matters of mutual interest.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on bilateral relations and discussed ways to advance common priorities between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
The ministers also discussed the upcoming meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State, scheduled to be held in Kyrgyzstan. During the conversation, Dar and Saidov agreed to continue efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and advance areas of shared interest.
The two sides also agreed to meet on the sidelines of the SCO summit to discuss bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. The planned meeting is expected to provide an opportunity for the two foreign ministers to review progress in bilateral cooperation and discuss regional and international developments of common concern.
