TEHRAN: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir landed in Tehran on Monday ahead of scheduled talks between Pakistani, Saudi and Turkish officials and their Iranian counterparts.
The army chief’s visit follows an announcement by an Iranian official that senior representatives of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement (MJDA) allies would visit Tehran for discussions on regional security.
