LPG price hiked by Rs14.73 per kg for November

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs14.73 per kilogram for November, issuing an official notification announcing the revised rates.

According to the notification, the price of LPG has been fixed at Rs294 per kilogram, with the new rates coming into effect from November 1.

The increase has also raised the price of a standard 11.8kg domestic LPG cylinder by Rs173.86.

Following the revision, the price of an 11.8kg domestic cylinder has been set at Rs3,470.09 for November.

The latest increase is likely to add to the financial burden on households that rely on LPG for cooking and other domestic needs.

Meanwhile, market sources have claimed that LPG is being sold at nearly twice the price fixed by OGRA, raising concerns about overcharging and the implementation of officially notified rates.

The reported difference between the regulator’s notified price and market rates has added to concerns among consumers already facing rising household expenses.
