IK in good health but concerned about his wife

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has assigned a major task to his party leadership and directed them to start political dialogue with the government and end internal rifts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Sources said that Imran Khan reposed his full confidence in the leadership of Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Raja Nasir Abbas.

The sources further revealed that Imran Khan directed Barrister Gohar and his team to go ahead with back-door negotiations with the government.

In his message, Imran Khan directed party leadership to take measures for an immediate end to the party’s internal rifts.

Bushra also directed Barrister Gohar to restore talks with the government.

Sources stated that Imran Khan was well aware of the removal of his party’s government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but he did not show any reaction.

‘Imran Khan in good health but concerned about his wife’

Imran Khan was aware of the recent political developments, including the imposition of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the emergency measures taken by the federal government, when he met his lawyer in Adiala Jail on Monday, sources said.

The meeting, held after a considerable gap, was reportedly restricted to professional and legal matters, in accordance with the understanding that no political discussion would take place.

Sources said Imran Khan was already aware of the developments outside prison, including the recent constitutional and political changes, although the lawyer did not brief him on these matters during the meeting.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss Imran Khan’s health, which sources described as satisfactory.

However, Bushra Bibi has an eye-related problem, which is a major concern for the jailed founder chairman of the PTI.

According to sources, Imran Khan advised that legal remedies should be pursued through the courts to secure relief, particularly in Bushra Bibi’s case.

He reportedly stressed that the matter should be taken up through the appropriate judicial forums to seek relief in accordance with the law.

The meeting comes amid heightened political tensions following the imposition of emergency measures and governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the PTI had been in power.

The developments have raised questions about the party’s political future in the province and its strategy in the wake of the federal government’s action.
