Renowned ghee and cooking oil manufacturing companies decided to increase prices by Rs12 per kilogram with immediate effect in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Now, a ghee sack of 16 kilograms is being sold at Rs8,550 after an increase of Rs100 per kilogram in the open market.
Five kilograms of cooking oil is available at Rs2,860 after an increase of Rs70. In the wholesale market, ghee is being sold at Rs535 per kilogram and cooking oil in Rs572 per kilogram.
The wholesale market witnessed an increase of Rs10 to Rs15 per liter or per kilogram in prices.
