150 tourists, 50 vehicles rescued from snow-hit Kaghan Valley

As many as 150 tourists and 50 vehicles were rescued after they were stranded due to heavy snowfall in Besal area of Kaghan Valley, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

A spokesman of the police said that as the rainfall had stopped all the tourists were being shifted to the Naran area of Mansehra.

On the other hand, the Naran police rescued a vehicle carrying 12 tourists.

These tourists were stranded in the Babu Sar Top area. All these tourists were shifted to Wahid Moon Restaurant in Mansehra.

Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) teams have been deployed at key tourist spots to guide and assist visitors arriving to witness the snowfall.

The teams are also trying to ensure the safety of tourists and maintain smooth access during adverse weather conditions.

Authorities have advised travelers to exercise caution due to slippery roads and reduced visibility caused by the ongoing weather conditions.
