PML-Q backs 27th Constitutional Amendment, vows cooperation for national reconciliation

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League–Q (PML-Q) on Saturday announced its support for the 27th Constitutional Amendment and pledged cooperation with the government in promoting national reconciliation.

The announcement came during a high-level consultative meeting of the party, chaired by Senior Vice President Chaudhry Salik Hussain, who briefed the parliamentary party on his recent meeting with the Prime Minister.

The session was attended by Tariq Hassan, Dr. Amjad, Mustafa Malik, Farrukh Khan, and other senior party leaders.

It is noteworthy that the federal cabinet has already approved the 27th Constitutional Amendment, which will now be presented in the Senate for consideration. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, currently in Azerbaijan, chaired the cabinet meeting via video link.

The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Musadik Malik, Rana Sanaullah, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Aun Chaudhry, Shizra Mansab, and Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, along with Law Minister and Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan.
