ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Cadet College Wana, on Saturday, to meet Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) who played a crucial role in thwarting the terrorists’ plans.
Upon arriving at Cadet College Wana, Mohsin Naqvi was warmly received by IG Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South, Major General Mehr Omar Khan.
During the visit, Minister Naqvi met with the brave officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) who successfully thwarted the terrorists’ plans. He commended their courage, professionalism, and dedication, describing the attackers as ruthless criminals with no regard for humanity or religion.
The minister also met with the cadets and faculty, praising their resilience and spirit. He was briefed in detail on the terrorists’ attack and the successful rescue operation carried out by the security forces, highlighting how their timely intervention prevented a tragedy similar to the APS Peshawar attack.
Minister Naqvi announced that Cadet College Wana will undergo extensive renovations to provide students with a safe and high-quality learning environment. He emphasized that the officers and soldiers who rescued the cadets and staff are national heroes, expressing pride on behalf of the entire nation.
Minister Mohsin Naqvi also reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve against terrorism, emphasizing that cross-border attacks will not be tolerated.
Speaking to tribal elders in Wana, Naqvi stated that terrorists involved in recent attacks, including the Islamabad Judicial Complex incident, are linked to Afghan-based groups, and local residents are not involved in such violence.
Naqvi highlighted that Field Marshal Asim Munir has sent a clear message: there will be no negotiations with terrorists. He described the attackers at Cadet College Wana as inhuman, stating they have no connection to humanity or religion, and targeting children is a heinous act.
