KARACHI: Pakistan has secured a major breakthrough on the export front after a local company received a multi-million dollar order from Saudi Arabia.
At the Karachi FoodAg Expo, Saudi firm Al-Abeer Cold Store Trading awarded a significant one-year export contract to The Organic Meat Limited. The company has formally shared the agreement details with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
Under the deal, Pakistan will export frozen meat to Saudi Arabia under a private-label arrangement. According to the official letter, both companies have signed a contract worth USD 5.02 million.
The agreement is being seen as a step in the right direction for boosting Pakistan’s meat exports and opening more doors in Middle Eastern markets, where demand continues to grow.
