Tom Holland wraps Spider-Man shoot, fans call it legendary

Tom Holland has officially wrapped filming his fourth Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film’s director has publicly praised the actor’s dedication as production comes to a close.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton confirmed on Saturday that production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day has concluded. The announcement was made through an Instagram post featuring behind-the-scenes photos from the set.

Cretton described the project as “the biggest, most rewarding film” he has worked on so far.

In a lengthy note, Cretton thanked the cast for bringing life to the beloved characters. He also praised the crew’s creativity and tireless work throughout production.

“To our amazing cast… and to our unbelievable crew,” he wrote, highlighting the collaborative effort behind the film.

Special praise reserved for Tom Holland

The director reserved particular praise for Tom Holland, 29, applauding his professionalism and leadership. Cretton thanked the actor for his “relentless work ethic” and “fearless performances.”

“And of course, to @tomholland2013, for your kind, generous leadership on and off screen,” he wrote, alongside images showing Holland wearing flower garlands with the crew.

Production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day began in August, with several scenes filmed in Glasgow, Scotland. Filming was briefly paused in September after Holland suffered a mild concussion during a stunt.

He returned to set in early October, allowing production to continue as scheduled.

The upcoming movie marks Holland’s first solo Spider-Man outing since Spider-Man: No Way Home released in 2021. He once again stars alongside Zendaya, who is also his real-life fiancée.
