Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), following a zero-tolerance policy, has continued its operation against electricity defaulters on the directions of Chief Executive LESCO Engineer Muhammad Ramzan Butt. From July 1 to December 31, 2025, LESCO successfully recovered more than Rs1 billion 67 crore 1 lakh 80 thousand from 43,093 defaulters.
According to details, LESCO teams carried out effective recovery operations with the support of police, Rangers, and the district administration through DISCOs Support Units. As a result, in the Northern Circle, Rs119.03 million was recovered from 1,328 defaulters, while the Central Circle recovered Rs331.81 million from 7,173 defaulters. In the Eastern Circle, Rs300.12 million was recovered from 3,541 defaulters.
Similarly, Rs93.89 million was recovered from 3,498 defaulters in Okara Circle, Rs66.52 million from 1,159 defaulters in the Southern Circle, and Rs70.84 million from 2,067 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle. In Kasur Circle, the highest recovery of Rs635.77 million was made from 21,695 defaulters, while Rs 52.22 million was recovered from 2,632 defaulters in Nankana Circle.
Chief Executive LESCO Engineer Muhammad Ramzan Butt stated that recovery from defaulters is a key part of the organization’s mission. He emphasized that indiscriminate action against defaulters will continue to ensure LESCO’s financial stability and uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers.
He urged the public to pay their electricity dues on time to reduce financial pressure on the system and to help maintain a stable power supply and transmission network. Consumers were also requested to report electricity theft through the LESCO website or by calling 118.
