Official figures presented during a review meeting on Friday showed that revenue collection rose by over Rs63 billion year-on-year. During the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, the authority had collected Rs156.3 billion in taxes.

The progress was reviewed during a monthly performance meeting chaired by PRA Chairperson Moazzam Iqbal Sipra, where officials assessed the performance of various regional offices and discussed strategies to further enhance revenue collection.

Similarly, the efforts of Commissioner PRA Faisalabad, Aftab Ahmad, were also praised for contributing to improved tax recovery in the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Sipra said that the introduction of new tax sectors and improved enforcement measures had played a key role in boosting the authority’s revenue collection during the ongoing fiscal year. He noted that expanding the tax base and strengthening compliance mechanisms remained a top priority for the authority.
