Seven terrorists were killed and a policeman embraced martyrdom during a large-scale operation launched jointly by the CTD, police and other security agencies against militants in Hangu.
According to DPO Tariq Habib, a number of hideouts of the terrorists were destroyed during the operation carried out in Bagtu Top Sarki and Chamba Gul areas.
Police and AlBaraq Force personnel gave a very tough time to the militants.
The DPO vowed to thwart the terrorists’ nefarious designs.
The funeral prayers of the martyred policeman were offered at the Police Lines.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid rich tribute to police and security forces for the successful operation against Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists in Hangu.
In a statement, Mohsin Naqvi lauded the professionalism of the police and the security forces for killing seven terrorists.
Mohsin Naqvi paid rich tribute to the police officer who sacrificed his life during the operation. “I salute the brave soldiers for killing seven terrorists of Fitna al-Khwarij,” he added.
The minister also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured officer.
