The Islamabad High Court has summoned the Superintendent of Adiala Jail again next Tuesday seeking a report regarding Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi’s health and prison visits.
The court heard the application of Bushra Bibi’s daughter seeking personal physician access and family visit to Bushra Bibi.
Islamabad High Court Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the case.
Advocate General Islamabad Naveed Hayat Malik appeared before the court.
Salman Akram Raja appeared in court on behalf of Bushra Bibi’s daughter.
Advocate General informed the court that the superintendent is on his way.
Give me one day’s time, there is nothing urgent in this case, Advocate General Islamabad said.
Petitioner’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja submitted that there is something urgent in this case as her family is not even meeting her.
She is a convicted criminal and matter has to be seen as per the jail manual, Advocate General pleaded.
Tuesday’s meeting with Bushra Bibi is not being arranged, Advocate Salman Akram Raja informed the court.
Today the superintendent was summoned by the court but he did not come, Advocate Salman Akram Raja said.
I will submit the record of the meeting on the day, Advocate General said.
The court ordered that the Superintendent of Adiala Jail will appear in person at the next hearing.
If he does not come, we will send a man who will arrest him and bring him, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir said.
Despite the court order, the Superintendent of Adiala Jail did not appear before the court and court summoned him again.
