Veteran Pakistani actor Waseem Abbas has come out in support of actor, producer, and host Fahad Mustafa after online discussions sparked criticism over his casual outfit choice.
During an appearance on ‘Ahmad Fozan podcast’, the senior actor shared his perspective, stating that there was nothing inappropriate about Fahad Mustafa’s attire and that such clothing is commonly worn in everyday life.
Speaking on the podcast, Waseem Abbas said: “Fahad ny agr casual dress pehna hai to is mein koi aisi harj wali baat nhi hai, matlab koi burai to nahi hai is mein. Mera nahi khayal ky koi aisi buri baat hai. Ajkal usny jo dress pehna howa hai wo in hai wo pehnty hain loug, apko sarkon py bhi dekhai dy gay loug usko pehny howy, lambi wali shorts hain or usky upr shirts hain.” (If Fahad is wearing casual clothes, there is nothing wrong with it. I don’t think there is anything bad about it. The outfit he is wearing nowadays is in fashion people wear it. You will even see people wearing it on the streets, like long shorts with shirts over them).
When the host commented that the shorts appeared too short, Waseem Abbas responded: “Acha, kyun ky mein ny wo gor sy nhi dekha, hoskta fahad ye sochy ky mein next time jab kisi show mein baithu ga to properly dressup ho ky hi baithu. Wesy normally tou jitney bhi mein ny usky dekhy hain show wo properly hi dress up hoky ata hai.” (Okay, because I didn’t look at it closely. Maybe Fahad might think that next time when he comes to a show, he should dress more properly. But usually, in most of the shows I have seen him in, he is already properly dressed up).
Social media users shared mixed reactions in the comment sections, with some agreeing with his viewpoint while others continued debating the outfit choice.
