Govt decides to enhance age limit of govt medical universities VCs

The federal government has decided to enhance the age limit of vice-chancellors of government medical universities from 65 to 70 years, it was reported on Monday.

Now vice-chancellors of King Edward Medical College and the University of Health Sciences will be eligible to resume their extended tenure.

The vice-chancellors of Rawalpindi and Faisalabad Medical University will be eligible to continue their services.

The four-year service period of vice-chancellors is going to end in July 2026. Medical Universities also invited applications for appointment of new chancellors with an age limit of 65 years.

Now the process of scrutiny of applications goes in cold water.
