Bilawal reaffirms PPP’s longstanding commitment to GB rights

Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has reiterated that his party has been consistently advocating for the rights and sovereignty of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan across three generations of leadership.

In a recent message addressed to the people of the region, he stated that the PPP has remained committed to strengthening political representation and administrative reforms in Gilgit-Baltistan. He added that former president Asif Ali Zardari played a role in advancing recognition and governance improvements in the region.

He further highlighted the legacy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, crediting him with ending outdated systems such as the Frontier Crimes Regulations and hereditary rule structures, while also introducing public welfare measures for remote regions.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged citizens to support the PPP in the upcoming political process, emphasizing that greater electoral strength would enable the party to more strongly advocate for their rights at the national level. He encouraged voters to support the party in order to amplify their voice in Islamabad.

He also expressed optimism about the future, suggesting that continued political engagement could pave the way for stronger provincial recognition and national unity under a broader federal structure.
