Both sides discussed ways to improve coordination between law enforcement agencies. They also agreed to enhance information sharing to tackle illegal migration networks and drug trafficking.

Naqvi is currently attending a special meeting of interior and security ministers from Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states. The forum is being held in Bishkek.

He also held separate meetings with interior ministers from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.

In talks with Tajikistan, both sides expressed concern over militant activity in Afghanistan. They said several terrorist groups are active there. They warned that these groups pose a serious threat to regional stability.
