Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Rubina Khalid has said that the disbursements under the programme will be made through digital wallets from July this year.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, Rubina Khalid said over eight million women have been provided with free mobile SIMs.
The BISP Chairperson said transparency and accountability are the foremost priorities of Benazir Income Support Programme. She said re-certification system has also been introduced so that only deserving people benefit from this programme.
Rubina Khalid said several countries in the world have appreciated Benazir Income Support Programme which is Pakistan’s largest social protection programme. She mentioned that over 10 million families are benefiting from Kafalat Programme while 12 million children are receiving scholarship under Benazir Taleemi Wazaif.
