Bilawal welcomes US–Iran peace deal, commends Pakistan’s role

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has welcomed the peace agreement between the United States (US) and the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing it as an important step towards reducing tensions and advancing peace through dialogue.

Bilawal said in a statement issued on Monday that he warmly welcomed the agreement as a significant first step towards de-escalation and the promotion of peace through negotiations.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said the positive development reflected the wise leadership and commitment of all parties involved in the process.

The PPP chairman said the agreement demonstrated a collective determination to resolve differences through diplomacy and constructive engagement.

The former foreign minister expressed hope that the progress would contribute to lasting peace and stability in the wider region.

Bilawal Bhutto also paid tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his leadership and vision in helping to advance the process.

He further praised Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his steadfast support for regional stability and peace.

He also acknowledged the contribution of Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan and diplomatic teams from participating countries.

Bilawal said their professionalism, perseverance and quiet efforts behind the scenes had helped make the achievement possible.

Bilawal noted that the successful conclusion of the agreement highlighted the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement and international cooperation in addressing regional challenges and promoting long-term peace.
