An Islamabad court has upheld the non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi in a case related to alleged statements against state institutions.
The court directed law enforcement authorities to arrest Afridi and present him before the court after he failed to appear during the proceedings. His continued absence prompted the court to maintain its earlier order.
The hearing could not proceed in detail because Civil Judge Abbas Shah was unavailable. As a result, the court adjourned the case until **July 21** for further proceedings.
The case stems from an FIR registered by the **National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA)** under the **Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA)**. Investigators accuse Afridi of making statements that allegedly targeted and levelled allegations against state institutions.
The court will review the matter further at the next hearing, where authorities are expected to report on the execution of the arrest warrants.
