Pakistan’s rifle team produced an outstanding performance at the seventh F-Class World Championship 2026 in Bisley, Britain, winning the individual world title and finishing runners-up in the team competition, it was reported on Wednesday.
According to the TV channel, the Pakistani team won a gold medal in the individual F-Class competition and a silver medal in the team event. The 12-member squad won four gold, four silver and five bronze medals across the individual competitions.
A total of 207 top long-range shooters from 24 countries took part in the championship. Pakistan also earned the distinction of winning the highest number of medals in the FTR category.

Junaid Ali emerged as the individual FTR world champion after beating 207 competitors. He delivered an impressive performance, winning three gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
His individual FTR world title is being described as the biggest individual achievement in Pakistan’s international F-Class shooting history.
Muhammad Waleed also played an important role in Pakistan’s success, winning one gold and one bronze medal. In the Under-25 category, Huzaifa Gul won three silver and two bronze medals, while Ahsan Gul secured a bronze.
Seven Pakistani shooters, including Ahsan Gulrez, Junaid Ali, Waleed, Ubaid, Qasim, Huzaifa Gul and Junaid Waqar, finished among the top 100 competitors at the world championship.
The individual competitions were held over 800, 900 and 1,000 yards on 12 and 13 August, followed by the FTR team competition on 15 and 16 August.
The team event featured teams from 11 countries, including former world and European champions. Pakistan secured the runners-up position after a closely fought contest, winning the silver medal by a narrow margin.
Led by Ahsan Gulrez, the Pakistani team faced strong international opposition and produced a notable performance throughout the championship.
Pakistan has established itself as a strong force in F-Class shooting on the international stage in just three years. The team’s success reflects the growing skill and talent of Pakistani shooters in the sport.
