PML-N’s Abdur Rehman Arain, belonging to Kotli’s Ward No 10 (Sultanpura) was on Saturday elected on the Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly’s reserved seat unopposed.
There was no other candidate vying for the seat which had been reserved for overseas Kashmiris.
As per the notification issued by the AJK election commission, Arain was elected unopposed under Article 84 of the AJK Election Rules, 2020.
Secretary election commission and the returning officer Raja Muhammad Shakil Khan announced the election result.
