Yamaha Motor Pakistan (Private) Limited has announced it will cease motorcycle production in the country, marking a major development for two-wheeler enthusiasts and the auto sector.
In an official statement issued on Tuesday, the company said the decision was taken in line with a change in its business policy.
“We are moving towards closing the chapter of motorcycle production in Pakistan,” the statement read, while extending gratitude to customers for their years of loyalty and support.
Yamaha assured that despite ending production, it will continue to provide after-sales services to its customers.
The company said it will ensure the availability of spare parts through authorised dealers with sufficient stock and reaffirmed its commitment to warranty services and customer support.
The statement emphasised Yamaha’s appreciation for Pakistani riders, noting: “We are grateful to Yamaha riders who have made Yamaha a part of their lives.”
Yamaha, known for its popular models in Pakistan’s motorcycle market, entered the local industry with high expectations. The discontinuation of production marks the end of its manufacturing journey in the country, though its service and spare parts support will remain available for existing users.
