The Pakistani government has announced revised prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight, providing partial relief to consumers.
According to the official notification, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs14. Following the cut, the new price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs265.65 per litre.
In contrast, the price of petrol has been kept unchanged. Petrol will continue to be available at Rs263.45 per litre.
The revised prices will remain effective for the next 15 days. Government officials stated that petroleum prices are reviewed regularly in line with international market trends and other economic factors.
The reduction in diesel prices is expected to offer some relief, particularly to the transport and agricultural sectors, where diesel is widely used.
Kerosene Oil Price Slashed
Following the recent reduction in high-speed diesel prices, the government has announced a significant cut in the price of kerosene oil, providing further relief to consumers.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs12.32 per litre.
With this reduction, the new price of kerosene oil has been fixed at Rs180.54 per litre, down from the previous price of Rs192.86 per litre.
Ministry of Energy has issued a notification. The new prices will be applicable after 12 midnight tonight.
