Karachi commissioner has fixed new official prices of sugar.
As per the notification issued on Thursday, the wholesale price of sugar was fixed at Rs140 per kilo, while retail price at Rs143 per kilo.
The notification said that the new prices would come into effect immediately.
It also warned of action against those selling the commodity at higher rates.
Besides that, it also made it binding on shopkeepers to display the rate list.
