79 more Pakistanis return from Iran as repatriation efforts continue

QUETTA: The process of bringing Pakistani nationals back from Iran is ongoing, with 79 more citizens returning home on Sunday and Monday through the Gabd Rimdan border.

Officials said that the repatriation drive has now entered its 44th consecutive day. With the latest arrivals, the total number of people who have crossed back into Pakistan through the Gabd Rimdan border has reached 3,152.

Authorities further shared that since February 28, around 10,619 individuals have returned via the Taftan border. In total, 13,771 Pakistanis have come back through both the Taftan and Gabd Rimdan border crossings during this period.

Those returning include pilgrims, sailors, laborers, businessmen, and students who had been in Iran and other nearby countries such as Oman.

Officials assured that all returnees are being properly checked upon arrival. Their documents are being verified, and immigration procedures are being completed smoothly to ensure an organized and safe entry into the country.
