Talha Anjum tops Spotify Pakistan for 5th straight year

Talha Anjum has once again dominated Pakistan’s music streaming scene, being named Spotify Pakistan’s most-streamed artist for the fifth consecutive year. The milestone highlights his continued popularity and the growing influence of hip-hop in the country’s mainstream music industry.

According to Spotify Pakistan’s latest five-year rewind shared on social media, Talha Anjum secured the top position among the most-streamed artists, ahead of major names including Atif Aslam, Umair, Hasan Raheem, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Talhah Yunus, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Abdul Hannan, Maanu, and Asim Azhar.

The ranking reflects a shifting musical trend in Pakistan, where digital platforms have played a major role in elevating independent and hip-hop artists to mainstream recognition. Talha Anjum, as one half of the duo Young Stunners alongside Talhah Yunus, has been at the center of this transformation.

Over the years, he has built a strong catalogue of widely popular tracks, including Gumaan, Afsanay, Baaz, Downers at Dusk, and Laam. His recent release 2AM in London also contributed to his continued streaming success this year.

Spotify’s data further revealed that more than 140 Pakistani artists were streamed over the past year, showing the rapid expansion of the country’s digital music audience. The platform also highlighted the diversity of listeners, who continue to engage with both contemporary and classic artists.

While modern pop and hip-hop artists like Talha Anjum and Hasan Raheem are gaining strong traction among younger audiences, legendary voices such as Atif Aslam, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan remain consistently popular, maintaining their stronghold in Pakistan’s music culture.

Spotify also released a list of the most-streamed Pakistani tracks over the past five years. Songs like Pasoori, Kahani Suno, Iraaday, Tu Hai Kahan, Jhol, Pal Pal, and Wishes stood out as defining hits that shaped Pakistan’s recent musical identity and helped boost its global streaming presence.
