The Sindh government has allowed Aurat March to hold its gathering at Sea View on Sunday, May 10, 2026. However, the permission comes with strict conditions.
The no-objection certificate (NOC) includes 28 rules for organisers and participants. The march is scheduled from 3:30pm to 7:30pm on Mother’s Day.
Authorities said the event must remain peaceful at all times. Organisers are responsible for maintaining internal security of participants.
The NOC bans anti-state slogans, banners, and speeches. It also prohibits any material considered anti-religious or provocative.
Officials have also restricted hateful, unethical, or socially sensitive content on placards and banners. No objectionable visuals or messaging will be allowed.
The document states that no banned or proscribed organisations can take part in the march. Any association with such groups is strictly forbidden.
It further prohibits promotional activity linked to LGBTQ-related themes during the event. Organisers must ensure compliance with this restriction.
Speakers are not allowed to criticize the ideology of Pakistan. They are also barred from making remarks against state institutions or the armed forces.
Authorities warned against speeches that could create division or unrest among communities. Sectarian or hate-based content is also prohibited.
Strict security arrangements have been made mandatory. These include walkthrough gates, metal detectors, and physical checks of participants.
Bomb disposal units will inspect the venue before the event begins. After clearance, the site will be handed over to organisers.
Parking has been restricted to designated areas at least 200 yards away. Vehicles entering parking zones will also be searched.
Only one entry and exit point will be allowed for the gathering. Volunteers will manage crowd movement and security.
Organisers are fully responsible for any law-and-order situation. They will also face legal consequences in case of violations.
Authorities reserved the right to change the route, venue, or timing if required. The event may also be stopped if necessary.
The use of loudspeakers must follow official regulations. Aerial firing, drugs, and alcohol are strictly banned.
Organisers must coordinate with police and district administration throughout the event. They are required to provide full details of volunteers and arrangements.
