Kuwait’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nassar Abdulrahman Almutairi called on Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik in Islamabad on Tuesday and discussed cooperation and joint projects in the refining sector, it was reported.
Ali Pervaiz Malik thanked the Government of Kuwait for the timely facilitation of the ship Khairpur which arrived in Pakistan from Kuwait carrying 45,000 tons of diesel and 10,000 tons of jet fuel.
The delivery of the fuel was made possible through special facilitation following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
The possibility of Kuwait establishing strategic storage facilities in Pakistan was discussed.
The Kuwaiti ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace, saying they encourage Pakistan to continue its role for peace.
Ali Pervaiz Malik said Pakistan is committed to peace and stability.
