The United Nations Security Council has unanimously endorsed Pakistan’s annual report, marking a significant acknowledgment of the country’s diplomatic engagement at the global level.
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, confirmed the development, stating that all members of the Security Council supported the report without any objections.
According to the ambassador, the annual report provides a comprehensive overview of the Council’s work, particularly focusing on responses to regional crises and broader thematic challenges confronting international peace and security.
He explained that the document outlines key global conflict zones, ongoing humanitarian emergencies, and evolving security risks. It also highlights the importance of strengthening collective efforts in peacekeeping operations, conflict prevention, and peaceful resolution of disputes.
Ambassador Asim Iftikhar further noted that the unanimous approval reflects confidence in Pakistan’s diplomatic contribution and its role in promoting cooperation within multilateral forums, especially on issues related to global stability and humanitarian concerns.
