The Election Commission of Gilgit-Baltistan has announced the schedule for re-polling at nine polling stations across two constituencies in Diamer, with voting set to take place on July 12.
According to an official notification issued by the Chief Election Commissioner, fresh polling will be conducted at one women’s polling station in GBA-15 Diamer-I and at eight polling stations in GBA-17 Diamer-III.
Election officials have been directed to complete all necessary arrangements ahead of polling day. Voting will continue from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
According to the provisional Form-47 results for GBA-15 Diamer-I, independent candidate Muhammad Dilpazir is leading the race, followed by JUI candidate Mufti Wali-ur-Rehman.
In GBA-17 Diamer-III, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Muhammad Naseem is in the lead, while JUI candidate Rehmat Khaliq is in second place. The outcome of the re-polling is expected to play an important role in determining the final results in both constituencies.
