National Disaster Management (NDMA) has issued advance warning of possible floods and landslides till August 15, it was reported on Thursday.
According to alert, floods are expected in the upper reaches of rivers from today to August 15.
Rain with strong winds and thundershowers is expected in the upper reaches and heavy rain is expected at some places.
Surge and flash floods are expected in several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
Floods are expected in Chitral, Swat, Shangla, Battagram, Upper and Lower Dir in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Floods are also expected in Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Bajaur, Buner, Kurram, Orakzai, Mardan, Swabi and Nowshera.
Sudden floods may occur in Haveli, Poonch and Sidhanoti in Azad Kashmir.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, flash floods may also occur in Khurmang, Ghanche, Gilgit, Nagar, Diamer, Hunza, Ghizer, Gopis Yasin and Astore.
In Punjab and northeastern Balochistan, there is a risk of flooding in hilly areas and storm drains due to rains from August 13 to 15.
In Balochistan, Musakhel, Barkhan, Khuzdar and Dera Bugti are likely to be inundated, while in Punjab, Murree, DG Khan and Rajanpur are likely to be inundated.
In the Indus River, Tarbela, Kalabagh, Chashma, Guddu and Sukkur are likely to be inundated, while in the Ravi River, and in the Chenab River, low flow is expected at Baloki and Marala and Khanki.
From today to August 15, there is a risk of flooding in some urban areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Flood conditions are expected in the cities of Sialkot, Lahore, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Kasur, Okara, Mardan and Swabi.
