Saudi Foreign Minister Khalid bin Salman Monday said he met Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on the sidelines of the Strategic Political Defence Committee meeting held under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
In a post on X, Khalid bin Salman said the meeting focused on defence cooperation between the two countries as well as the latest regional developments.
“We reviewed our defense cooperation and discussed regional developments,” he said.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Strategic Political Defence Committee session convened under the framework of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, which provides a mechanism for coordination on political, security and defence-related matters.
The engagement highlighted continuing high-level contacts between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on defence cooperation and regional security issues.
